Bullseye Billiards 3.2: Introducing Coach and Skill Ratings

Bullseye Billiards 3.2: Introducing Coach and Skill Ratings

Practicing pool is easy. Knowing what to practice next is the hard part.

That is the idea behind Bullseye Billiards 3.2, one of the most important updates I have made to the app so far. This release adds Coach, a new recommendation feature designed to help you choose better drills, focus on weaker areas, and make your practice sessions more productive.

Bullseye has always been built around measurable improvement: structured drills, shot diagrams, video instruction, cue ball tracking, scoring, and progress reports. With version 3.2, the app now does more than track your practice. It helps guide it.

Meet Coach

Coach is a new feature that recommends shots based on your practice histo

ry, skill ratings, weak areas, shots you have not practiced recently, and balance across different skills.

Instead of scrolling through the full shot library and wondering what to work on next, Coach gives you a focused set of recommendations.

That might mean revisiting a skill where your rating is lower, practicing shots you have neglected, or keeping your training balanced across the Core and Precision Series.

The goal is simple: spend less time guessing and more time improving.

Why Recommendations Matter

A common problem in pool practice is that players tend to practice what feels familiar.

Maybe you keep going back to the same follow shots. Maybe you avoid draw because it feels inconsistent. Maybe you only work on shots that feel comfortable, even though your real match problems are coming from thin cuts, stun control, rail position, or scratch avoidance.

That kind of practice can feel productive, but it often leaves gaps.

Coach is designed to help uncover those gaps. It looks at how you have been practicing and points you toward shots that deserve attention. It does not replace your judgment at the table, but it gives you a smarter starting point.

New Skill Ratings

Version 3.2 also introduces skill ratings, giving you a clearer way to measure your progress across each area of the app.

Bullseye includes 16 skill categories across the Core and Precision Series, including Fundamentals, Follow, Stun, Draw, Sidespin, Rails, Thin Cuts, High Spin, Rail-First shots, and more.

With skill ratings, you can see where you are improving and where you still have room to grow. This makes it easier to understand your overall game, not just your score on a single shot.

Instead of asking, “Did I make that shot?” Bullseye helps you ask better questions:

Am I improving at cue ball control?
Are my precision shots getting stronger?
Which skills are holding back my position play?
Where should my next practice session begin?

Improved Score Proficiency and Skills Overview

Bullseye 3.2 also includes improvements to Score Proficiency and the Skills Overview screen.

These updates are meant to make your progress easier to understand at a glance. You can still review your average scores, attempts, success rates, shot history, and trends, but the new structure makes it easier to connect those numbers to your broader skill development.

The goal is not just to collect stats. The goal is to turn those stats into better practice decisions.

Built for Real Practice

Bullseye Billiards is built around real table practice.

Every shot includes a detailed diagram, difficulty rating, aiming guidance, tip contact point, speed recommendation, and instructional support. Core Series shots also include video demonstrations. During practice, you can mark where your cue ball finishes on the table diagram, and Bullseye calculates your score based on proximity to the target.

That feedback loop is what makes the new Coach feature possible.

You practice.
Bullseye tracks your results.
Coach helps you decide what to practice next.

What Else Is New in 3.2

In addition to Coach and skill ratings, this update includes:

  • Improved Score Proficiency
  • Updated Skills Overview
  • Bug fixes
  • UI polish throughout the app

These changes should make Bullseye feel cleaner, smarter, and more useful during practice.

Start Your Next Session with a Plan

Bullseye Billiards 3.2 is all about making practice more intentional.

Whether you are preparing for league night, working through the full 300-shot library, or trying to improve a specific part of your cue ball control, Coach gives you a better way to decide what comes next.

Open Bullseye Billiards, check out Coach, and practice with a plan.
